Q&A with George Meyrick
How the other horse lives Q&A with polo player George Meyrick.

1. how many horses do you have on your yard?
15.
2. Which is your favourite?
Bella.
3. How old is she and how long have you had her?
She is about 13 and I have had her for one and a half years.
I bought from Thady Duff, she is an English TB. He made her for polo.
She is very sweet and affectionate, I can interact with her almost like a human! I think she would be very interested in Brookes work! She is only little but she is really tough.
The horses all eat Baileys horse feeds. Bella has 2 cups of balancer, a scoop of number 6 and 1 cup of Outshine. During the season she also has Highclere oats. They all have haylage from the farm at home.
In the stable with turnout morning and night. They all get turned away from October to December. They start their work approximately mid February to prepare for the season.
Regular vaccinations, worming, farrier visits. Good nutrition. Plenty of turnout and hacking.
Bella is good friends with Pink. They like to hang out together. Chrysanth isn’t so keen on Bella and will try and take a bite out her if given the chance! They all graze together for winter turnout.
Bella is almost bombproof, a very chilled out pony.
