I bought from Thady Duff, she is an English TB. He made her for polo.

6. What does your horse eat in an average day?

The horses all eat Baileys horse feeds. Bella has 2 cups of balancer, a scoop of number 6 and 1 cup of Outshine. During the season she also has Highclere oats. They all have haylage from the farm at home.

7. Where do your horses live?

In the stable with turnout morning and night. They all get turned away from October to December. They start their work approximately mid February to prepare for the season.

8. How do you make sure your horse is healthy?

Regular vaccinations, worming, farrier visits. Good nutrition. Plenty of turnout and hacking.

Bella is good friends with Pink. They like to hang out together. Chrysanth isn’t so keen on Bella and will try and take a bite out her if given the chance! They all graze together for winter turnout.

10. What is your horse likely to spook at?

Bella is almost bombproof, a very chilled out pony.

11. What’s your favourite thing about Brooke’s work to help working equines around the world?

It’s never nice to see any animal suffer but I have seen first hand the issues in some of the countries that Brooke work in. I play polo in Pakistan and India and the suffering of some of these poor animals is truly heart breaking. Brooke is working hard within these countries to make a difference.

Help us reach working horses, donkeys and mules in developing countries that often suffer in their day to day lives.
