Statement on the death of HM The Queen

Chris Wainwright, Chief Executive of Brooke, said last night:

“All of us at Brooke are profoundly saddened to hear the news of Her Majesty The Queen’s passing. She had a huge lifelong love for horses and, coupled with Queen Consort’s presidency of Brooke, this has meant Brooke has had the privilege of being a charity close to her heart throughout her life.

“We were immensely proud to be included as one of only two equine charities in The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration book, published in 2016.

“Our thoughts and best wishes are with the Royal Family at this very sad time.”
